Sunday Morning Main Service
Our Sunday Main Service is held at 10:15, and features a blended worship style with a combination of favorite hymns and more contemporary hymns from the Presbyterian Hymnal of our denomination. From Labor Day until Memorial Day, our Chancel Choir provides an Offering of Song. Members of our Christian Education staff lead the children in a Time of Young Believers, and then kids from Kindergarten to Grade Six participate in Kids’ Own Worship during the remainder of the service (Except in July).
Nursery and Toddler Care is provided weekly.
Sunday Morning Early Service
Our early Sunday service is held at 8:00 AM during most of the year, but at 8:30 from Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day, and features the same hymns and format as our main service, except for Special Music and Kids’ Own Worship.
Sunday Evening Service
At 6:15 on Sunday Evenings, we hold come-as-you-are worship in our narthex with praise music led by a skilled guitarist. Kids’ lessons are provided while the adults dig into the evening’s reading.
The Sacraments at Medina Presbyterian
We celebrate the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of most months, usually by intinction. (Worshipers are invited to come forward, dip a piece of bread in a cup of grape juice, and consume the elements before returning to their seats.) In keeping with the customs of our denomination, all followers of Jesus are welcome to share in our celebration of the sacrament, children included. Gluten-free elements are provided for those who need them.
The Sacrament of Baptism is provided upon request. Adults may be baptized after a period of orientation and education on the meaning and responsibilities of Christian discipleship, and infant baptism is provided on request for children having at least one parent in active participation in the life of the congregation.
